Twitter has released a list of Hot Topics for 2011; according to its data, Hollywood actors Charlie Sheen and the late Elizabeth Taylor were among the top-trending actors for the year.

The world of films was led by the Chris Hemsworth-starrer, Thor; the television series Pretty Little Liars led trending topics for the small screen; and former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's resignation was the top political story.
