Twitter had a strong response after Steve Bannon, President Donald Trump's chief strategist, said White House briefings were held off-camera because press secretary Sean Spicer "got fatter." The claim was reported by The Atlantic Tuesday.

The amount of daily press briefings from Spicer dwindled down to rare off-camera briefings during Trump's presidency. The president suggested the cancelation of all press briefings in May. The last on-camera briefing Spicer held was June 12. When asked for the reason behind limiting reporters' video and audio feeds, Spicer and deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders did not have answers. Trump may reportedly hire a new press secretary, according to Politico and Bloomberg Monday.
