Two people were killed and one wounded critically in an Oakland shooting on Sunday night, Oakland police said.

The shooting took place during a sideshow, which is infamous for car racing and violence, on the 8800 block of International Boulevard at about 9:20 p.m., Oakland police spokeswoman Holly Joshi said.

The dead woman is Latoya J. Kenny, 28, a mother of two girls, 10 and 8.

The dead man, a San Leandro resident, had just turned 29 on Saturday.

Another woman, who received life-threatening injuries, was sent to Highland Hospital in Oakland. She is expected to survive.

Homicide investigators said the people who died and was injured were not related to one another.

The police said all three were struck by a hail of bullets.
