Tyler Perry is finally speaking out after Bobbi Kristina Brown's tragic death on July 26. The 45-year-old filmmaker is a longtime friend of the Houston family and has been instrumental in helping both them and the Browns during this difficult time. He has been silent on social media since sharing his frustrations with the media and general public's handling of the Bobbi Kristina case on Facebook nearly two weeks ago.

As reported by People magazine, Perry took to Twitter to express his deep sorrow for the loss of the 22-year-old daughter of the late Whitney Houston and singer Bobby Brown Tuesday. While he did not share much, the esteemed director told his followers that her death had left him speechless. He ended the tweet with, "Bobbi Kris," a shortened version of her name often used by members of her family.

Although he is not a member of either the Brown or Houston families, Perry has played an important role in helping them to deal with their loss. As we recently reported, he is said to have promised both families that he would "take care of everything" in the wake of her passing. He has offered to allow them access to his private jet to transport Bobbi Kristina's body from Georgia to New Jersey, where it is believed she will be buried.

This is the first post Perry has made on social media since July 17 when he took to Facebook to get something off his chest regarding Bobbi Kristina: the media and fans. He asked that people "show some decency and respect" in regards to Bobbi Kristina's condition. He shamed publications for speaking death onto her while she was still living and asked that the public allow her family to mourn in peace, rather than gather outside Peachtree Christian Hospice where she lived out her final days. He added that it was not only disrespectful to them, but to the families of other people at the facility. In closing, Perry asked, "can we just prey for Krissi, and the Houston and Brown families?"

The family has not yet spoken out about their plans to bury the former aspiring actress. It is, however, believed that she is being buried in the same plot as her late mother. Changes have been made to her headstone, further fueling speculation that the two will share the space. It remains unclear when she will be buried, though it has been reported that the cemetery has taken precautions in preparation for the high-profile funeral. Security has been stationed there to ensure that visitors stay away from Whitney's grave. It is likely that security will be increased in the days leading up to the funeral though nothing has been announced at this time.
