The United Kingdom released the Consumer Price index for November, where the monthly CPI index expanded by 0.2% from the previous of 0.1%, in line with expectations. In addition, the CPI annual index retreated to 4.8% from the previous 5.0%, also in line with expectations.
The annual core CPI index retreated to 3.2% from the previous of 3.4%, better than expectations of 3.3%.
Furthermore, the monthly retail price index expanded by 0.2% from the previous steady reading, also in line expectations of 0.2%. In addition, the annual RPI index retreated to 5.2% from the prior 5.4%, above expectations of 5.1%.
The annual RPI excluding mortgages payments retreated to 5.3% from the previous of 5.6%, in line with expectations.
