U.K. public sector net borrowing excluding interventions showed a deficit of 15.7 billion pounds in February from 7.8 billion pounds surplus, which was revised to 7.9 billon pounds surplus, while estimates referred to 8.0 billion pounds deficit.

The reading including government support for banks saw a surplus 7.8 billion pounds compared with the revised 32.0 billon pounds surplus, which was 16.8 billion pounds surplus initially, and analyst's projections of 1.0 billion pounds surplus.

The public sector net cash requirement reached 12.9 billion pounds from the prior -10.7 billion pounds, which was revised to -10.2 billion pounds, and compared to 5.0 billion pounds expected.
