U.K. annual CPI for the month of June retreated to 3.2% from 3.4%, yet higher than estimates of 3.1%and above the BoE's upper limit of 3.0%. On the month, the reading inched down to 0.1% from 0.2% and compared with estimates of 0.0%. Annual CPI core rose to 3.1% relative to both prior and forecasted readings of 2.9% and 2.8% respectively.

Moreover, annual RPI for the same period ticked down to 5.0% compared with the preceding 5.1% and projections of 4.9%. On the monthly basis, the cost of living index slumped to 0.2% from 0.4%, yet higher than predictions of 0.1%. Finally, RPI excluding mort. int. payments came in at 5.0% from 5.1% prior and 4.9% estimated.
