RTTNews - The average asking price of a house in the United Kingdom was essentially unchanged on month in June, property data collection company Hometrack said on Monday, following another flat monthly reading in May.

On an annual basis, house prices fell 8.7 percent after the 9.6 percent fall in May. In all, house prices have fallen three straight months.

Seller received their asking price 91.0 percent of the time, up from 90.3 percent in the previous month - although the data shows that prices remain almost 20 percent below their peak in 2007.
