RTTNews - U.K.'s public sector net borrowing was GBP 13 billion in June, up GBP 5.5 billion from a net borrowing of GBP 7.5 billion recorded last year, the Office for National Statistics said Tuesday.

In June, the public sector net cash requirement was GBP 19 billion, an increase of GBP 7.6 billion from the net cash requirement a year ago.

The public sector showed a deficit on current budget of GBP 9.9 billion in June, compared with a deficit of GBP 5.8 billion in the previous year.

Public sector net debt was 56.6% of gross domestic product in June versus 44.4% recorded during the same period of the previous year.

Net debt was GBP 798.8 billion at the end of June, compared with GBP 641.4 billion a year earlier.
