FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - United Kingdom's Leading Index has declined 0.2% in August for the second consecutive month, breaking the trend of steady gains in previous months, according to the latest report by the Conference Board.
The decline has been shared by four of the seven components o the leading index, being stock prices the larger negative contributor. On the six months previous to August, the Leading Index has increased 1.2%.
The coincident index has increased 0.2% August, to reach a level of 118.9, with three of its four components posting increases. August's increase follows a 0.1% increase in July and a 0.2% increase in June. Coincident Index has risen 0.9% in the six months to August.
