FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Net lending to individuals has slowed down its growing pace in January compared with the average of the last six months, according to the latest figures released by the Bank of England.
The increase in the total Net Lending to individuals has been GBP 8.4 billion, down from 8.5 billion in December, and also below the GBP 9.6 billion of the six month average. The twelve -month rate growth decreased to GBP 9.1 billion.
The number of loans approved for home purchase increased to 74,000 from 72,000 in December. Net consumer credit has increased buy 0.9 billion, above the 0.6 billion in December,, but below the 1.2 billion 6-month average.
