RTTNews - U.K. government net reserves rose $2.12 billion in May to bring the end-May total to $30.06 billion, the HM Treasury said Wednesday. Net reserves had totaled $27.94 billion at end-April.

Gross reserves rose to $54.39 billion during end-May from $49.85 billion recorded during end-April.

Further, official data showed that the Bank of England net holdings of foreign currency and gold rose $3 million in May to bring the end-May total to $4 million.
