The United Kingdom released the public finances figures for August, where the deficit widens to 11.8 billion pounds from the revised previous surplus of 5.7 billion from 5.6, worse than the expected deficit of 7.0 billion pounds.

Moreover, the public finances excluding interventions deficit also widened to 15.9 billion pounds from the revised previous surplus of 2.4 billion, also worse than the expected deficit of 13.0 billion pounds.

Furthermore, the public sector net borrowing deficit also widened to 13.2 billion pound from the revised prior surplus of 5.2 billion from 2.0 billion, worse than the expected deficit of 11.4 billion pounds.
