FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Retail sales have declined somewhat in the United Kingdom in March from February, although underlying growth remains strong driven by food sales, according to data released by National Statistics.

The volume of sales fell 0.4% between February and March, with declines in all sectors except household goods. In the first three months of the year, though, sales have risen 2.0% fuelled by food sales, which rose 1.7% in that period. Sales for non food stores rose 1.8%.
