FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - UK's services sector's activity has failed to grow in May, according to the latest Purchasing Managers' Index - services, which has fallen into contraction.

In May, the UK's Services PMI has fallen to 49.8 in May, below the 50 level which divides contraction from expansion of the sector's activity, from 50.4 in April.

The services sector is the predominant sector in United Kingdom's economy, therefore, we can expect this slow down on services activity to be one of the topics to take in account in tomorrow's monetary policy meeting, held by the Bank of England.
