UK visible trade deficit widened to 8529 billion pounds in October compared with the prior deficit of 8228 billion pounds which was revised to 8392 billion pounds deficit, while analysts expected the deficit to narrow to 8100 billion pounds.

Trade balance non EU also showed a widened deficit to 5004 billion pounds from the revised 4545 billion pounds which was 4590 billion pounds, yet it economists predicted the deficit to decline to 4500 billion pounds.

Total trade deficit decreased to 3946 billion pounds from September's deficit of 4570 billion pounds after it was revised down to 3790 billion pounds deficit, which is better than forecasts of 4450 billion pounds deficit.
