U.K. annual CPI for February slipped to 3.0% from 3.5% in January, lower than expectations of 3.1%. On the month, the reading came in at 0.4% compared with the prior -0.2% and median estimates of 0.5%. Core CPI plunged to 2.9% annually relative to both previous and forecasted readings of 3.1%.

With regard to the cost of living index, it remained at 3.7% on the year and inclined to 0.6% on the month from 0.0%, while analysts forecasted 3.8% rise and 0.7% incline on the year and on the month respectively. RPI excluding interest payments fell annually to 4.2% from 4.6%, below projections of 4.3%.
