The United Kingdom released its ILO unemployment for the 3 months from May to July coming in at 7.9%, lower than forecasts of 8.0% but higher than the previous 7.8%.

With regard to Jobless claims for August, the reading came in at 24.4%, lower than the predicted 25.0% and the previous 24.9% which was revised to 25.2%, while claimant count rate inched up to 5.0% as expectations from the prior of 4.9%.
