“Saddened to announce the passing of the Ultimate Warrior,” Triple H wrote. “Icon and friend. My sympathy to his wife Dana and his daughters.”

WWE also addressed The Ultimate Warrior’s death in a Tuesday night statement. “WWE is shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the passing of one of the most iconic WWE Superstars ever, The Ultimate Warrior,” the statement read.

“We are grateful that just days ago, Warrior had the opportunity to take his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame and was also able to appear at WrestleMania 30 and Monday Night Raw to address his legends of fans. WWE sends its sincere condolences to Warrior’s family, friends and fans.”

Details on the cause of death are not yet available, but officials told TMZ that Hellwig collapsed outside of an Arizona hotel on Tuesday afternoon. At the time, he was walking to his car with his wife. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
