WWE has not advertised an appearance by The Undertaker on the March 20 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” but there’s a good chance the Deadman will make his return. He could have a confrontation with Roman Reigns ahead of their WrestleMania 33 match.
Reigns is scheduled to have a match with Braun Strowman Monday night, following their altercation last week. Strowman attacked Reigns, setting up a rematch from their battle at WWE Fastlane on March 5. With The Undertaker and Reigns set to do battle in less than two weeks, it only makes sense that they would go face-to-face on WWE’s flagship program.
Reigns defeated Strowman at Fastlane, becoming the first-ever WWE superstar to pin the big man. It’s hard to believe that Strowman would lose clean again just two weeks later, and Reigns probably won’t suffer a clean loss before WrestleMania 33. It’s the perfect opportunity for The Undertaker to intervene, costing Reigns the match and furthering their feud.
The Undertaker and Reigns have been in the ring together twice in 2017. Reigns eliminated The Undertaker at the Royal Rumble, planting the seeds for their eventual feud. The Deadman returned to “Monday Night Raw” the night after Fastlane, delivering a Chokeslam to Reigns. Their match was added to the WrestleMania 33 card the following week.
There had been speculation that The Undertaker could face John Cena, or even Strowman, at WrestleMania 33. Instead, he’ll face the former Shield member in his 25th WrestleMania match.
As he approaches his 52nd birthday, it appears that The Undertaker is getting closer to the end of his WWE career. His match against Reigns could potentially be his last, and the three-time world champion could give the Deadman just his second-ever WrestleMania loss.
Reigns ended WrestleMania 32 by defeating Triple H for the WWE World Championship. He’s been in the main event of WrestleMania in two straight years.
