FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The German unemployment level has remained unchanged in April from March, despite having posted the tenth consecutive monthly decline in the total amount of unemployed workers, according to data released by the German Labour Office.

Unemployment decreased by 7,000 persons in April, following a declining trend which has been falling continuously since last June, although the unemployment change has been somewhat lower than the -48,000 or the -74,000 posted in March and February respectively.

The unemployment rate has remained unchanged at 7.9%, unchanged from the previous month, after having been revised up from the initially estimated 7.8%.
