FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The seasonally adjusted unemployment level has remained unchanged in May in Germany despite a somewhat worse than expected unemployment change, according to data released by the German Employment Office.
The amount of unemployment persons has increased by 4,000 in May from April in Germany, instead of the 25,000 decline expected by the market. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate has remained unchanged at 7.9%.
In an unadjusted basis, the unemployment rate has declined to 7.8% in May from 8.1% in April. The total unadjusted amount of unemployment workers has declined to 3.28 million in May from 3.41 million in April.
