The U.S economy released this morning the Final reading of the University of Michigan Confidence Index regarding the month of December where it came out inline with expectations at 74.5 climbing from the prior reading of 74.2.

Within the index we see that Economic Conditions index dropped from 85.7 to 85.3, while the Economic Outlook index climbed from 66.8 to 67.5. As for Inflation Expectations, the one year ahead expectations climbed from 2.9% to reach 3.0% while the five years ahead expectations climbed from 2.7% to reach 2.8%.
