The University of Michigan released the Preliminary estimate for consumer confidence for the month of February, where consumer confidence eased to 72.5 from prior estimate of 75.0 and below median estimates of 74.8.

The economic conditions index retreated to 79.6 from 84.2 reported in January, while the economic outlook index dropped to 68.0 in June from 69.1.

The 1-Year inflation expectations index declined to 3.2%, compared with 3.3% in January, while the 5-Year inflation expectations index inclined to 2.9% from 2.7%.
