The University of Michigan released the preliminary estimate for consumer confidence for the month of February, where consumer confidence rose to 75.1 compared with the prior estimate of 74.2 and median estimates of 75.0. The economic conditions index rose to 86.8 from 81.8, while the economic outlook index eased to 67.6 from 69.3.

The 1-year inflation expectations index remained unchanged at 3.4%, and the 5-year inflation expectations index also remained unchanged at 2.9%.
