An untethered jailbreak for the iPhone 4S and the iPad 2 (running iOS 5.0.1) has finally been released. The Chronic Dev team, with help from Pod2g and MuscleNerd of the iPhone Dev team, has released Greenpois0n Absinthe.

Now, with the Windows version of Absinthe, the user can jailbreak the iPhone 4S running iOS 5.0 (9A334), iOS 5.0.1 (9A405) and the iOS 5.0.1 (9A406). Also, an iPad 2 running iOS 5.0.1 (9A405) can be jailbroken.
