UPDATE 2:44 p.m.: There are as many as 15 victims in the Lone State College stabbings, and authorities have disputed accounts that there may be more than one suspect. The college's CyFair campus is still under lockdown. The Harris County Sheriff's office said it's possible that not all of the victims were injured in the stabbing; some may have suffered injuries while running away from the stabber, according to CNN.

Here is the latest update from the Lone Star College website:

"LSC-Cy Fair Campus remains on lockdown and is currently being evacuated by law enforcement. Traffic flow out of campus parking lots is being managed by LSCS campus police and Harris County Sherriff’s Office. LSC-CyFair campus will be closed for the remainder of the day/evening. LSC-Fairbanks Center is open.

The media staging area has been established at the south parking lot near the Learning Commons/Library building.

The incident occurred near and around the Health Science Center and remains an active crime scene with changing and evolving information. HCSO has one suspect is in custody and another suspect may possibly be at large.

There are 11 confirmed victims; 4 have been transported by life-flight and others by ambulance to area hospitals."

A suspect has been caught Tuesday afternoon in the Lone Star College CyFair campus stabbings, where as many as 13 people may have been injured on the Texas school’s campus.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said there may be another suspect who has not yet been apprehended, the Houston Chronicle reported.

KHOU reported that the suspect is a male.

The Lone Star College campus where the stabbings occurred is located in Cypress, Tex., a suburb of Houston. The school has eight other campuses.

The stabbings, in which as many as 13 people were injured, occurred at the college’s CyFair campus at 9191 Barker West Dr., the school said in an alert to students and staff that was posted on the Lone Star College website just before noon local time on Tuesday.

“Two armed suspects at LSC-CyFair," the message read. "One suspect is at large. Stay away from the area. Seek shelter in a secure location until the incident is resolved. Be aware of your surroundings. If you have reason to believe that the suspect is in or near your location, notify LSC Police at 281.290.5911, if it is safe to do so. Updates on the situation will follow as new and confirmed information becomes available.”

The campus is under lockdown due to the situation, the Chronicle reported.

Helicopters arrived on the scene of the Lone Star College campus to pick up the wounded, according to KHOU.

The stabbings mark the second time the Houston-area school has dealt with violence on its campuses since January, when a shooting occurred at another Lone Star campus.

Student Jody Neal was struck several times by gunshots during the shooting in January. A maintenance worker and student Carlton Berry were also shot.
