U.S. prosecutors said they plan to announce insider-trading charges against three hedge fund managers and a hedge fund analyst.

The U.S. Attorney in Manhattan said a press conference would be held at noon (1700 GMT) Tuesday to announce the charges. FBI and U.S. Securities and Exchange officials were also scheduled to attend.

Obstruction of justice charges also will be announced against two of the portfolio managers, prosecutors said.

No further details were immediately available.
