US released its Chicago PMI for this month, which indicated a cheerful enhancement of overall business conditions as it showed a significant unexpected incline coming in at 54.2; better than the forecasted reading of 49.0 and the prior reading of 46.1.

In fact, the business activity throughout the Chicago has improved, having on one hand the prices paid for October plunging to 48.6 from 51.3 in September and 50.0 in August, while that on another hand the production rose to 63.9 from 47.2 and the new orders climbed up to 63.9 from 47.2, not forgetting that the business barometer inclined to 54.2 from 46.1.
