US copper slips 3 pct on strong dollar, weak Shanghai
NEW YORK - U.S. copper futures lost more than 3 percent of their value early Monday as investors took their cue from a slipping Shanghai session and a firmer U.S. dollar.
Copper for December delivery HGZ9 tumbled 10.55 cents, or nearly 3.6 percent, to an early trough at $2.8450 a lb on the New York Mercantile Exchange's COMEX division. (Reporting by Chris Kelly; Editing by John Picinich)
