The U.S Commerce Department released the consumer price index for the month of June, where CPI dropped by 0.2% after rising by 0.2% in May and below median estimates of 0.1%, while compared with a year earlier, CPI rose stagnated at 3.6% in line with markets expectations.

Core CPI also rose by 0.3 unchanged from May's and up from median forecasts, while compared with a year earlier, core CPI rose by 1.6% as highly forecasted and faintly up from the prior estimate of 1.5%.
