The U.S Commerce Department released the consumer price index for the month of September, where CPI rose by 0.3 percent below August's estimate of 0.4 percent and in line with markets, while compared with a year earlier, CPI climbed by 3.9 percent as highly forecasted and faintly below the prior 3.8 percent reported back in August.

Core CPI rose only by 0.1 percent; down from the prior and forecasted estimate of 0.2 percent, while compared with a year earlier, Core CPI stagnated at 2.0 percent and came slightly below the median estimates of 2.1 percent.
