Thursday morning in New York, the greenback recouped the losses it incurred in the early New York session against its major counterparts. The dollar rose to an 8-day high of 98.74 against the Japanese yen by 10:00 am ET. The greenback also reversed its recent downtrend against the rest of majors, rising to 1.128 against the Swiss franc, 1.4527 versus the pound and 1.3544 against the euro by this time. As of now, the dollar is worth 98.7 against the yen, 1.4529 against the pound, 1.1274 against the franc and 1.3546 per euro.
