FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Existing home sales have decreased in January for the second consecutive time although at a lesser extent than in December, as potential buyers wait on the sidelines , according to the latest report by the National Association of Realtors.
Sales of existing homes have decreased 0.4% in January from December to an annual rate of 4.89 million, a fall that follows at he 2.2% decrease posted in December. December's annual rate has been revised up to 4.91 million annual rate from the 4.89 previously estimated.
On the year to January, sales of existing homes have decreased by 23.4% from January klast year's annual pace of 6.44 million.
The median house price has decreased to $ 201,000 in January, down from 4.6% from the $210,900 median price in January 2007.
