FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Orders for manufactured products have bounced up strongly in March, following two consecutive declines in January and February, according to the latest report by the Commerce Department.

New orders for manufactured goods have risen 1.4% in March, after a 0.9% decline in February, revised up from the 1.3% fall previously estimated. March's increase has been unexpectedly strong, as market analysts had advanced a 0.3% rise.

Shipments have increased 1.1%, and the unfilled orders to shipments ratio has edged down to 5.49 from 550 in February.
