FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Housing starts fell by 10.2% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.191 million houses in United States in September, according to the data released by U.S. Census Bureau.

August's drop was downwardly revised to the annual rate of 1.327 million houses, a 3.2% decrease, from the 2.6% decrease, which implies annual rate of 1.331 million houses, originally posted.

Building permits decreased by 7.3% to an annual rate of 1.226 million in September, following the 4.8% August's decline which means an annual rate of 1.322 million permits.
