FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Initial Jobless claims declined to the level of 322,000 persons in the week ended in January 5 from the revised 337,000 persons posted the previous week, according to the latest report by the US Department of Labor.

The market consensus was a rise to the level of 340,000 persons. The result of the previous week was upwardly revise from the 336,000 persons originally estimated.

Continuing claims declined to the level of 2702,000 persons during the week ended in December 29 from the 2754,000 persons seen the previous week. The result from the previous week was downwardly revised from the 2761,000 originally posted.
