The US Initial Jobless Claims of January 23 came in at 470 thousand; worse than the forecasted 450 thousand but better than the prior revised reading of 478 thousand from 482 thousand, while the Continuing Claims of January 16 came in at 4602 thousand, which is worse than the predicted reading of 4593 thousand but better than the prior revised reading of 4659 thousand from 4599 thousand.
