FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Economic activity in the non-manufacturing sector has failed to grow in February for second month in a row, although the ISM non-manufacturing survey shows a somewhat higher reading than in January.

The non-manufacturing index has increased 4.7 points to 49.3 in Ferbruary, still into contraction. The business index, however, has returned to growth posting a 50.8 reading in February from 41.9 in January, while the new orders index and the employment index contacted for the second consecutive month.

The employment index has grown three points to 46.9 in February, while the new orders index has increased to levels close to expansion reaching a reading of 49.6 in February from 43.5 in January.
