FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Business activity in the services sector has grown in October at a faster pace than in September, with new orders jumping and prices decreasing on the month, according to the latest ISM non manufacturing report, published by the Institute of Supply Management.

In October, business activity has increased to 55.8% from 54.8% in September, with the new orders index jumping to 55.7 in October from 53.4 in September.

The prices index has decreased to 63.5% in October from 66.1% in September, and the employment index has edged down to 51.8% from 52.7 in September.

Nine industries reported activity increase in October, being Other Services, Mining, Retail Trade, Construction, the ones with the largest increase.
