The US economy released this morning the Initial Jobless Claims figure for the week ending August 7th, where it showed worse than expected rise in the number of claims at 484 thousand, where it climbed from the previous 479 thousand. The figure came larger than the expected 465 thousand.

Continuing Claims figure for the week ending July 31st showed better than expected number of continuing claims at 4452 thousand, where it climbed fell the previous 4537 thousand. The figure came lower than the expected 4535 thousand.
