The U.S. released the jobless claims index for the week ending December 11, where jobless claims declined to 420,000 from the prior revised estimate of 423,000 and also below median estimates of 425,000. Continuing claims for the week ending December 4, rose however to 4.135 million, compared with the prior revised estimate of 4.113 million and worse than median estimates of 4.115 million.
