FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The volume of claims for the unemployment benefits in the US employment offices has declined in the week of 14 of Jun, compared to the week before, but the decline has not been as large as expected, according to figures released by the US Labor Department.

Initial jobless claims have decreased by 5,000 claims to a seasonally adjusted total amount of 381,000, from upwardly revised 386,000 claims on the previous week. Market analysts had advanced a 9,000 decline to 377,000.

The four week moving average, has posted an increase of 3275 claims to 375,250 claims. Continuing claims have decreased by 76,000 to 3,060,000 from the preceding week's revised level of 3,136,000.
