The U.S. Labor Department released the Initial Jobless Claims for the week ended March 24, where the index fell by 5 thousand to 359 thousand from a prior estiamte of 364 thousand (revised from 348 thousand) and above expected estimate of 350 thousand.


Whereas continuing claims for the week ended March 17, came in lower than expected at 3340 thousand compared to the prior estimate of 3381 thousand (revised from 3352 thousand) and median estimates of 3350 thousand.
