FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - Wall Street posted important losses on Wednesday. The Dow Jones fell 1.20% and the Nasdaq tumbled 2.67%. The Yen is rising across the board and consolidates gains. Dollar trades at the highest level in two week against the Euro and the Swiss Franc.
Stocks ended sharply lower in the U.S. benefiting Dollar and Yen. EUR/USD fell further in the last hour to 1.4698, posting a fresh two week low. Currently the pair trades at 1.4710/13, 0.68% below today's opening price. GBP/USD failed again to hold above 1.6400 and lost previous gains. Actual price at 1.6380/85 is the same it had at the beginning of the day. USD/CHF is consolidating above 1.0250 and during the American session rose to 1.0270 posting the highest price since October 13.
The Yen is higher across the board. USD/JPY fell to 90.55, one-week low. From there Greenback recovered but found resistance at 90.85. The Yen is also higher against European currencies. EUR/JPY fell to a two-week low and trades below 134.00. GBP/JPY fell under 150.00 to 148.20.
