FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - U.S. equity markets are expected to open higher on Wednesday, on the back of the second consecutive day with gains in European markets, which have rallied after having opened on a erratic pace, and a recovered confidence on the health of the banking sector.

March S&P 500 futures have gained 1.5% to 726.90 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average futures have risen 1.3% to 6,973, the Nasdaq 100 Index futures increased 1.4% to 1,121.

If confirmed, U.S. stock markets could rise for second day in a row after yesterday's rally. Asian and European markets have continued upwards supported by stronger financial shares.
