FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - U.S. Reuters/ Univ. Michigan Consumer sentiment Index has edged down to 65.7 in August from 66.0 in Jul, with the current situation index dipping to 66,5 in August from 70.5 in Jul, nevertheless consumer seem to be more upbeat about the future, as the expectations index has risen to 65.0 from 63.2 in Jul.

USD/JPY retreat from 94.05 intra-day high, has extended immediately after the release of Michigan consumer sentiment data, as the Dollar fell from 93.70 to 93.52.

The Dollar is testing 93.50/60 support area at the moment, and in case of further decline, next support levels could be 93.20 (Aug 27 low) and 93.00 (Jul 22 low). On the upside, initia resistance remains at 94.05 intra-day high, and above here, 94.30/40, and 94.65 (Aug 25 high).
