FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Manufacturing activity in the New York area has deteriorated further in June, with the indexes for new orders, shipments, and unfilled orders posting loses from May, according to data released by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

The general business conditions index has declined to -8.7 in June from the -3.23 level posted in May. The prices paid index has dropped slightly although remaining at a very high level, inches below last month's record high, while the future prices received index rose to a 47.7 record high.

Employment indexes remain about the zero level, while indexes measuring future activity increased slightly from the relative low levels of the past months.
