US PPI

The US released its producer price index for the month December which rose more than expected by 1.1% from the previous and expected 0.8%, while the yearly reading showed a rise in prices by 4.0%, from the previous 3.5% and the expected 3.8%.

Meanwhile the index that exclude food and energy should that prices rose in December by 0.3% just like it was expected, yet the previous reading showed a rise in prices by 0.3%. On the yearly basis, the index rose by 1.3%, exceeding the previous reading of 1.2% yet lower than the expected 1.4%.
