The U.S. released the producer price index for the month of April, where PPI rose by 0.8%, compared with the prior rise of 0.7% and better than forecasted 0.6%, while compared with a year earlier, PPI rose by 6.8%, compared with 5.8% in the prior estimate and slightly above median estimates of 6.5%.

Core PPI rose by 0.3% above the expected 0.2% and the prior estimate of 0.3%, while compared with a year earlier, core PPI rose by 6.8% higher than the prior 5.8%and expected estimates of 6.5%.
